This newscast showcases my ability to cue live shots and have an incredibly smooth A-block. I did not have to float, drop or do anything within the show because the timing was impeccable. Our stories for the show this night did not have an obvious lead, so I was happy to find the lead early on in the day and prepare the new reporter to lead the show.

This newscast displays my ability to cue live shots and try something new. We have never had 3 live headlines in a show and I wanted to try it. Unfortunately it did not go off as well as I planned in the beginning, I think it still looked very well done. I am a big fan of moving my anchors and having them in different positions in the studio, I think it is more appealing to the eye and allowed the viewer to spend more time thinking about the newscast. In my opinion, if a viewer sees a news anchor in a different spot than the anchor desk, they are more inclined to wonder why they are there and listen to the story more intently.

This newscast displays my ability to cue live shots, move the anchors and have eye catching rollings bams, video and OTS'. There was an unfortunate mic clip at the top of the show, but it was out of my control.
